What to do with all these darn PLR's?

Build An Opt-In List

Again, if you have PLR or giveaway rights to a product, you can
use it to build your own opt-in list. While it probably is not a good
idea to use the same product in another giveaway, you can promote
the free product in other ways.

You don't want to use it in another giveaway event for a couple of
reasons. First, the person who donated it in the first place may
use it again. Other people who downloaded it may try to use it in
another event, and finally, even if nobody else uses it, you will
get fewer sign ups for your own opt-in list because those who
attended the giveaway that you received it from already have it.

Instead, promote the product by writing and submitting articles, by
exchanging ezine ads with other newsletter publishers, and by
putting a notice on your website that lets visitors know that they
will receive this product for free when they sign up for your
opt-in list. If you visit my site: http://bestpaidathomebiz.com/,
you will see a sign up form for a Free e-book that I have PLR to.
I use a third party autoresponder:AWEBER.com to handle the
sign ups and opt-in lists.

If it is a PLR product, you will have the right to make changes to
the product. Make sure you do this, changing the title, the
graphics, and the links, as well as any other information that the
PLR license requires you to change.

When choosing products to use to build an opt-in list, try to stick
with products that you have PLR rights to, or products that are
rebrandable. A rebrandable product will have a brander in the file
that you downloaded, and it essentially allows you to change the
affiliate links to your own links, and may possibly allow you to
change the title and author's name of the product as well, although
most rebrandable products will not allow you to change either of
these things.

You can also use products that you have the giveaway rights to,
meaning that you are allowed to give the product away to others,
but in most cases, if you only have giveaway rights, you cannot
change anything about the product - so you are essentially giving
the product away to build your list, but at the same time, you are
promoting someone else's products or services. Obviously, the product
that you giveaway will be of interest to your own target market, and if
this is the case, if you use products that you cannot change, you may
be directing business that could be yours to someone else. Use caution!

Ideally, even though you are giving a product away for the purpose
of building an opt-in list, you should try to monetize the product.
In other words, you might use links to affiliate products in the
product, or use it to promote a related product of your own. Try to
monetize, but if you don't, remember that you still added to your
opt-in list, and you still have the opportunity to convert those
leads.
