What impacts my on-line business?

I have just finished reading a post by Kenneth A. McArthur on his blog at http://www.learningfolder.net/blog . The title is a little strange and convoluted, but the message is there for those of us who are trying to build an on-line business. The business doesn't have to be a seven figured one as the example is on his blog. Even if you are just starting out, this post is a must read.
The first thing that I suggest is to identify just what you want to accomplish with your on-line business. Are you in it for the long haul, or is this just a whim? Are you setting up a work from home business, or a hobby?
Next, ask yourself this question: what actions should I take that will have the most impact on my business? First: find a product, information, or service ( ClickBank.com ) is a good place to start. Second: find a way to sell that product, information, or service. (affilliate programs work well ). Then make a profit. Making a profit=more money comming in than going out, now you have your on-line business.
Later I will go into the ways to find good hosting and how to use it.
