Adsense Dos and Don'ts

Google Adsense is the flipside of Adwords and are the Ads that are placed on
publisher’s webpages. When a visitor to your site clicks that ad, then you as the
publisher get paid for the click – it’s a great way to earn revenue from your site –
and if you do it right, you can earn very serious money, very easily.
So – who can set up an Adsense account?
Well the answer is basically anyone with a website – there are some criteria to
being able to open an Adsense account, like your site must be fully functional and
no adult type websites and so on – but the guys making the real money are
setting up what they call portal sites after first discovering what the really high
paying Adsense keywords are.

Here’s how it works:
Within Google Adwords, advertisers bid on each keyword – as with all these
things, the more competition for a keyword or subject, the higher the bid. So, if
you can get your hands on a list of keywords that an advertiser is willing
to pay top dollar for, and then show his ads on your website through Adsense –
then you will get much more cash per click than you would if the keyword was
only being bid at 10c for example. This is because you, as the publisher, take a
hefty proportion of the cost per click. Google conveniently don’t tell you what
proportion of revenue they are paying you – and Adsense Publishers are
precluded as part of the terms of agreement from discussing their earnings – but
suffice to say that my own experience is that they are quite generous.
So, it should be clear that if you get your hands on these high-paying keywords,
then optimise your webpage around those keywords and then serve Adsense Ads
on them – then the sky really is the limit in terms of income.

So – here’s what you do to start making easy money from your site.
If you have a website already, then
1. Get your hands on a list of top paying keywords –
2. Tweak your existing pages to optimise for the highest paying keywords
you can find on your list Sign up for your adsense account at: http://www.google.com/ads/
4. If your website is functioning, you’ll be approved within 2 days or so.
5. Set up your account, and get your code
6. Place it on each page where you want to serve ads. The Ads will be served
immediately and will show for the keywords that you have optimised your
page for.
7. Put the cheque in the bank.

If you don’t have a site – then start with the list at www.adsense-dominator.com
And locate a niche that you would like to write about. Isolate a number of
keywords around the same niche and write content on separate pages around
each keyword. The more content the better, but as long as you are relevant then
you will be accepted by Adsense.
And take it from there!

So – as you can see, yet again the road to internet wealth starts with the humble
keyword and I hope that now you can see why.
